Doulas have assisted women in birth since the beginning of time. The word “doula,” means “woman caregiver,” an ancient Greek term referring to the most valued and trusted birth companion. The word has come to refer to “a woman experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother before, during and just after childbirth.”
I am deeply passionate about the birthing world and after the births of both my boys I have stepped deeper into what it means to birth naturally, tapping into my true power as woman. I wish to inspire other women to take back their power and to seek deeper into what it means to give birth naturally.

Birth Doula Services
As a birth doula, I am here to provide a caring, nurturing and supportive environment for you and your partner. I will stay by your side throughout your labour and birth, however long that might be, whether at home or in hospital. I am not a midwife so will give you the best advice I know about making any important decisions that are needed within the medical setting.
My Service Includes:
• 3-4 antenatal visits
• Pregnancy yoga and breath work, the birth itself and 2 postnatal visits
It also includes a special rate on making placenta capsules if that’s something you wish to have done.
During antenatal visits, I’ll support you as you envision what you want your baby’s birth to be like, what you want to experience and help you to write your birth plan. I’ll be available to answer any questions that you may have and support you through the process of preparing for this significant event. I will be on call 24 hours from 38 to 42 weeks of your pregnancy and stay with you during labour and birth.
During the postnatal visits, I will listen to you and help you reflect on your birthing experience and also be there to help with breastfeeding support or anything else you would like to discuss.
Postnatal Doula Services:
As a postnatal doula I will be there to help facilitate a smooth transition into your role as a new mother. Sometimes just listening with a non-judgmental ear is the most powerful aspect of this work.
The early weeks can be overwhelming and to have some caring and understanding support can be invaluable. I think society today often encourages mothers to get back to a normal day-to-day routine to quickly after they have given birth. In many cultures women are encouraged to spend days in bed, to rest and bond with their baby. I spent three weeks in bed skin to skin with my first-born, Tayo. It was the most magical time for us both. I aim to support new mothers to spend that special time with their new baby by taking some of the day-to-day stresses away from them.

The Support I Provide
I help with all aspects of breast and bottle-feeding and will help to create a nurturing, restful and gentle atmosphere.
I offer practical help with looking after siblings or the baby so you can rest. I can also help with the smooth integration of the baby into the new family. I can do light housework, run errands, cook meals or prepare baby food for older children. I will help you with anything that you think will make your life easier for yourself.
